Reliable Cooling for Life on the Road

When you need dependable refrigeration away from home, the ENGEL 40 Litre Portable Fridge-Freezer is designed to handle the demands of Australian travel. Ideal for camping trips, caravanning, boating, fishing, four-wheel driving and off-grid living, this robust portable unit gives you the flexibility to keep food fresh and drinks cold wherever your next adventure takes you.

With a generous 40-litre capacity and room for approximately 60 standard 375mL cans, it offers practical storage for weekend getaways, family holidays and extended touring.

Efficient, Proven ENGEL Performance

At the heart of this fridge-freezer is ENGEL’s renowned Sawafuji swing motor, engineered for reliable operation and efficient power consumption. Its DC power draw varies with operating conditions, with the manufacturer listing approximately 0.5–3.0 amps.

The unit supports 12V DC, 24V DC and 240V AC, making it suitable for vehicle-based travel, caravan setups and powered campsites. Automatic voltage selection helps simplify switching between compatible power sources.

Built for Australian Conditions

Designed with durability in mind, the ENGEL 40L features a tough steel construction, robust corner protectors and sturdy handles. The large lockable door latch helps keep the lid securely closed while travelling, while the reinforced internal basket makes it easier to organise food and drinks.

An internal LED light improves visibility when accessing contents at night or in low-light conditions. Battery protection features help reduce the risk of excessive vehicle-battery discharge when operating on DC power.

Fridge or Freezer Flexibility

Use the ENGEL 40L to keep groceries, drinks and fresh food chilled, or set it up as a freezer when your trip calls for frozen supplies. Its versatile temperature control makes it a practical option for a range of outdoor and mobile refrigeration needs.

Whether you’re setting off on a remote camping trip, travelling across the country or building an off-grid setup, ENGEL’s established reputation for portable refrigeration makes this a dependable choice for life outdoors.
