At Outback Offgrid, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains how returns, refunds, damaged products and warranty issues are handled.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Change of Mind Returns
If you change your mind about a purchase, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, the product must generally be:
- Unused and in its original condition
- In its original packaging
- Complete with all accessories, manuals and included components
- Suitable for resale
Please contact us before returning any product so we can provide return instructions.
Do not send a product directly back to the manufacturer or supplier unless instructed by Outback Offgrid.
Change-of-mind returns may not be available for products that have been installed, used, damaged after delivery, customised or specially ordered.
Unless otherwise agreed, return shipping costs for a change-of-mind return are the customer’s responsibility.
Original delivery charges are generally not refundable for change-of-mind returns.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
If your product arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide your order number, a description of the problem and, where appropriate, photographs or video showing the issue.
Depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, we may arrange a repair, replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy.
Where a product has a major failure, you may have the right to choose a refund or replacement in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You may be entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You may also be entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Dropshipped Products
Some Outback Offgrid products may be shipped directly from our Australian suppliers or distribution partners.
Because of this, the appropriate return address may vary depending on the product.
Please contact Outback Offgrid before sending any return.
We will provide the appropriate return instructions and, where required, coordinate the return with the relevant supplier.
Return Shipping
For approved change-of-mind returns, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping costs.
Where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by your rights under Australian Consumer Law, reasonable return costs will be handled in accordance with those rights.
We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning products.
Refunds
Once an approved return has been received and assessed, we will notify you of the outcome.
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.
Processing times can vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will attempt to cancel the order before it is dispatched. However, because some orders may be forwarded to suppliers for fulfilment shortly after being placed, cancellation may not always be possible once processing or dispatch has begun.
If the order has already been dispatched, it may need to be handled as a return.
Warranties
Some products sold by Outback Offgrid may also include a manufacturer’s warranty.
Manufacturer warranties operate in addition to any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law and do not replace those rights.
