ENGEL 38L Eclipse Portable Fridge Freezer

Enjoy reliable cooling wherever your adventures take you with the ENGEL 38L Eclipse Portable Fridge Freezer. Designed for camping, caravanning, 4WD touring and remote travel, this versatile portable fridge freezer combines Engel’s renowned refrigeration technology with a lightweight casing and practical storage capacity.

Whether you’re heading away for the weekend, exploring Australia’s outback or travelling in your caravan, the ENGEL Eclipse helps keep your food and drinks at the temperature you need.

Reliable Engel Refrigeration Technology

At the heart of the Eclipse is Engel’s renowned Sawafuji swing motor, designed for dependable performance and efficient operation. Its thermostat-controlled system allows you to use the unit as either a refrigerator or a freezer, depending on your needs.

With a temperature range extending down to approximately -18°C, it offers flexibility for keeping fresh food chilled or frozen supplies ready for longer trips.

Practical 38L Storage Capacity

The 38-litre capacity provides room for food, drinks and essential supplies without taking up excessive space in your vehicle.

It can accommodate approximately 50 standard 375ml cans, making it suitable for couples, small families and weekend adventurers.

Flexible Power Options

The ENGEL Eclipse features built-in power compatibility for:

12V DC — ideal for vehicle-based camping and touring.
24V DC — suitable for compatible 24V vehicle electrical systems.
240V AC — convenient for powered campsites, homes and other suitable mains outlets.

Its DC power consumption varies from approximately 0.5 to 2.75 amps, depending on operating conditions. Actual consumption will vary with ambient temperature, ventilation, thermostat settings and how frequently the lid is opened.

Lightweight and Durable Design

Unlike Engel models with the traditional heavy-duty steel casing, the Eclipse uses a lightweight polycarbonate-style casing designed to make transport easier.

Additional features include:

Polyurethane insulation to help maintain internal temperatures.
Thermostat-controlled cooling.
Reversible door assembly.
Stainless steel hinges.
Carry handles for easier handling.
Compatibility with genuine Engel accessories, including the optional transit bag.
